Przyjaźń coke works

Modern coking plant site situated in the middle of industrial wasteland of Dabrowa Gornicza was founded in 1987 as was part of metallurgical combine huta Katowice (today ArcelorMittal Poland) two years only.

In that time four-battery coke production was handled by dry quenching system only. Batter no.5 with classical "wet" quenching was put in operation recently, in 2007


Only four batteries are in use today, battery no.1 is under construction and waiting for its restart within 2011.
