Celakovice smelter was founded in 1860 in Prague, where a small metal producing workshop was established. The company moved to current location (Celakovice) in 1906 under the name "Metal-working plants Stanebow.

Nowadays brand "Non-ferrous metal works Celakovice, a.s." comes from 1994; known as a bars profiles and brass&copper wires producer. The production is divided into two foundries. Old foundry operates with 8 induction furnaces and 2 gas furnaces, new foundry is based on 3 induction furnaces, two-strands continuous caster and a drawing mill.
